This could be the back of a pieced quilt … or the front of a whole cloth quilt.

The second design is the front of a quilt because the pieced blocks are visible … and I like it! I think I would quilt the block outlines in these designs, but in a thread to match the background fabric.

The first design today is interesting, and would look interesting on a tiled floor, not just as a quilt.

This style of quilt could be called Nearly Wholecloth Quilts, or Not Quite Wholecloth perhaps.

Love the design despite the colouring (I don’t like blues) but I can also see this design with the blocks in the centre diamond with added colour pieces.

Love the second design as well. Smaller, but with some added contrast amongst the quilting.

I love it … although it is a bit blue. I do like the quilting design as it is clean and simple, and would be suitable to use with most of our modern waddings which are much less likely to fall to pieces inside a quilt than the waddings used a fifty to hundred years ago.

I would use less quilting in the border though.

Love the second one too, but some quilting in the border would be a good idea!
